We are W.E. – Women in Engineering Workshop

We are pleased to invite women who are interested in pursuing graduate education in civil engineering to visit North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, and attend the We are Women in Engineering (We are WE) Workshop on February 28-March 1, 2019. Students who have interests in a wide range of topics in civil, construction, and environmental engineering research should apply. Applicants are invited to attend a 2-day event, where students present their own research in a poster symposium and participate in discussions relevant to careers in research. As part of the program, visiting students meet with professors and NC State students and attend research seminars that align with their interests within civil engineering.

Applicants should be undergraduate or masters-level students with interests in civil engineering research. The application requires submission of a research abstract, and applicants who are invited to attend will present research posters as part of a poster symposium. Travel funds will be provided for invited applicants.
Preference will be given to applications received before December 1, 2018. Applicants will be notified by January 5, 2019 of their acceptance.
