Jorge Pesantez gave a presentation at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE in December 2019. His talk focused on his vision for managing water distribution systems using smart meters, machine learning, and agent-based modeling.

Jacob Monroe receives NSF GROW Fellowship

Congratulations to PhD candidate Jacob Monroe! He received funding through the NSF Graduate Research Opportunities Worldwide Program to conduct research at the University of Adelaide in Australia. His research project is entitled “Evaluating Peer-to-Peer Blockchain Enabled Energy Trading Platforms.”

Students from JCSU visit NC State

The STSA lab had the chance to share research with students visiting from Johnson C. Smith University.  Liz and Michael shared Netlogo and Mesa models, and Jacob presented research results for simulating peer-to-peer energy trading.
