STSA members presented research at poster symposiums this spring. Elias Zauscher won 2nd place at the NC State CCEE Environmental Water Resources Poster Symposium. His poster describes a new method to develop synthetic water distribution systems using open access street data and mixed integer linear programming. Cade Karrenberg presented their research that develops a new agent-based modeling approach to assess inequities introduced through dynamic pricing for water.
Cade Karrenberg and Brent Vizanko presented posters at the NC State Graduate School Poster Symposium. Brent’s research developed an agent-based modeling approach to explore how social distancing during COVID-19 led to inequities in access to clean water provided through water distribution systems.
STSA will be presenting more research at the upcoming World Environmental and Water Resources Congress in May 2024 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
