Morgan DiCarlo also won Most Gross, Most Humanitarian, and Most Creative Poster Awards, in addition to the Overall Student Poster Contest Winner at the NC AWWA-WEA Student Poster Conference for her poster “Agent-Based Model of Social Media Behaviors during Hurricanes Florence and Michael”.
Morgan is a PhD candidate in her third year of study. Her dissertation is focusing on how individual behaviors and decision-making affect the resilience of communities and infrastructure during disasters. She is collecting new data, conducting data analysis, and building new models to generate insight about managing sociotechnical systems.
